cut it off & pour Round-Up in the hole in the bamboo then spray each new growth/leaves with it when they sprout
Paint the full strength Roundup onto freshly cut bamboo. You will need to repeat this every few weeks for up to year or so depending on much you are dealing with. The best way is to dig it out. You must get all the underground runners or it will be back. If you have a lot of bamboo and it is on a flat surface put your lawn mower on the lowest height and mow it down and then paint full strength Roundup on each stalk. But however you deal with it you need to be patient cause this stuff comes back over and over.
How to paint garage floors
Some of the suggestions are good. Dig out new growth. Vegetation killer on old growth. To prevent spreading dig a trench about 12 inches deep 4 inches wide around the bamboo. Pour vegetation killer in the trench. This will be ongoing for quite a while. Digging up new growth. Pouring vegetation killer.
Round Up isn’t powerful enough. Find Reward, it’s expensive but cheaper in the long run. Still it will take weeks to months to eradicate bamboo. Dilute the Reward and it will kill anything green, including grass and nearby plants. Be careful to keep two and four legged animals away too.
