Have you tried lemon essential oil?

Spray Nine (Walmart or Home Improvement Store) has always gotten rid of any grease problem I have ever had.
Try vinegar on a cloth. It should cut through the buildup
Goo Gone. WD40. Nail polish remover.
Most likely, the finish has softened from oil. Both cooking oils and body oils will disolve finish over time. WD 40 will clean it up, but the old finish will be gone.
