How do I get rid of spider webs on cherry tree?
There are many spider like webs on the tips of branches in my backyard cherry tree. What should I do to eliminate them without harm to the environment?

Sounds like it may be spider mites. Go to the garden center for their advise.
Try spraying with a mix of 40 parts water to one part dish liquid. Leave on 15 minutes and then hose off again. Repeat when necessary. It is best not to do this in the hot sun..

Take a sprayer and put 2 Tablespoons (approximately) of dawn dish soap in it along with water. Spray that tree wetting both the top side and bottom side of the leaves.
If they're bag worms, our local extension office recommends "opening up" the webs with a stick, if you can reach, or a fishing line thrown up if it's high up. Opening up the bags will give birds access to the worms, and they should solve the problem for you. Good luck!
