You might try a fabric cleaner that removes stains. It is made for carpet but we have cleaned a number of fabric type things like furniture with it. I would say it would do well. Folex Carpet stain remover. We needed to clean a used glider fabric and hometalkers suggested it. It worked perfectly! We love it!
Spray with Automobile carpet cleaner from Walmart, when it dries, vacuum it. Easy peasy.
carpet cleaners are good - just make sure to get it all out and rub off any cleaning residue for it get cuddled again
I would use Folex stain remover. It is specifically for carpet stains or furniture stains, but it would work on a stuffed animal too. Just follow the instructions. We ordered ours online, but I understand some home improvement stores have it now
