Oversized resin or porcelain pots filled with tall center "thrillers", medium height fillers, and outer edge "spillers". If the pool is very large, try tall, potted evergreens or bamboo in deep, elongated containers.
If you can drill into surrounding concrete, you could create oversized hanging planters to hang from tall support posts.
Add oversized gas lights or LED lighting on tall posts.
Add low voltage lighting on outer pool perimeter with 36" high elongated planters, interspersed with potted trees.
Non slippery tile, pavers or concrete. Plants that discourage mosquitoes.
