You can use lemon juice. But I have found it does not work for long. May be easier to replace the glasses. I have read the a dishwasher can cause the glass to cloud over time so it may also be from the dishwasher.
Let them soak in CLR. That’s what I do and they come out like new!
Clean dishwasher (with vinegar) as well, it could have mineral build up. Also check your settings on softener, maybe it needs to charge more frequently.
Assuming the cloudiness is from using your dishwasher, first follow Alradborn's suggestion and run the empty dishwasher using only vinegar in the soap dispenser. After this is done, whenever you do a load of dishes, place a small glass bowl upright in the top rack. Fill it half way with vinegar and run the washer as normal. You will have to empty the bowl each time you clean a load of dishes but it should take care of the cloudiness.
Kathy We have this problem as well. We found that using vinegar overtime seems to mess with the gaskets the dishwasher and the repair man told us to stop using it. They do sell a product called jet dry and there are others that you can add to the rinse agent part of your washer which helps with spotting.
Kathy, the best we have found for our clear dishes is LemiShine. (all our dishes from dinner plates, bowls, mugs, and dessert plates are all clear and show the film horribly!) Lemishine is a Walmart brand of citric cleaner. It is made for the dishwasher and can be found where dishwasher soaps are sold in Walmart. I used to use Tang (citric) but this is so much better. We ran an empty load with a full soap container full. That cleaned the film out of the dishwasher. Now we add a little with the dishwasher soap block in the dispenser. None of our clear dishes shows even a trace of the old ugly film!
