Cats do not like citrus. Use a citrus spray or put out orange peels.
Oils like citronella, lavender, peppermint, lemongrass and orange tend to repel cats when they smell them and are nontoxic. To make a homemade solution of these oils, mix one part essential oil with three parts water. DO NOT USE MOTHBALLS like some people advise. They are toxic to humans and animals. One mothball can kill a dog. Spray after each rain until the animals find a new place to go.
citrus helps, or gt a dog :)
We spread our used coffee grounds around the areas the cats enter our fenced in yard. So far it appears to work but we will see when the weather gets warmer when the smell of the cat droppings really gets bad. I hope this helps.

Thank you ladies. I’ve tried the orange peel, citronella, like the real McCoy lemon grass plants and didn’t work. Will try coffee grounds next. Thank you all. I will post if it works.
