How do I "wake up" plants that I stored in my garage overthe winter?
I brought in a few plants last fall B4 the frost and stored them inside the garage. Now I want them to open their eyes and come to life again! How do I make that happen?

Give them love! Prune them regularly with sharp scissors if you use hands, they should come off easily. Start by removing or trim back/ cutting back any dead or dried out leaves and branches. Sometimes I remove a few leaves that are larger than others. I heard that the bigger leaves take more water, I do this with my bonzai plants. When I tried it on a jade plant, I noticed a lot of new growth after a few days. Fertilizer, maybe a splash of Miracle grow. I hope this helps!
Hi Karen. I start watering mine every few days and fertilizing them every week. Good Luck!
Give them sun and water! As they start to show signs of growth, start fertilizing. They wake up on their own. You will be amazed what a week or two of sunshine and water will do to them. You can't rush mother nature! 🌞
I agree with Naomie. I would transition them to the sunlight if they really didn't get much over the winter. Water them according to the specs on that plant, gradually give them more light, I would start with morning light at first and gradually get them up to the light of where the pots live for the summer. Make sure they make it back to the garage if it is going to be too cold for the plant overnight. Good luck with your plants. I wish it was warm enough over the winter to store some of my plants in the garage, it would lessen the amount I have to put in my library room, every inch of space on the floor and tables are used. I can't even get to most of my books without having to move a bunch of plants.
