Water whenever the soil is dry under the surface. Three times a week should suffice. Melons don't need that much water.
where do you live? what is your climate? This is world wide site so what we do may not work for your area-let us know for better assistance
Watermelons need lots of water and sun. Because your's are in a raised bed where the soil dries out quicker, I would water every other day. Do a good deep soaking water, not just quicky sprinkles. I find that it helps to have one of those little rain gauges so I can tell how much water my gardens are getting.
