My older car leaked oil in the driveway, I tried pouring Coke on the spots & leaving it, etc., but nothing happened.

Hi Kris, if it's a small oil stain cover it with baking soda, vinegar, or laundry detergent and let it sit for 15-30 minutes. Scrub the stain with a brush and hot water, and rinse thoroughly. For large oil stains, apply a commercial degreaser to the area and let it sit for 5 minutes before using a steel brush to scrub it off. You may need to repeat until all the oil is gone.

    Hi Kris,

You could use Talc Powder to soak up the oil and or use Sterilizer used for cleaning baby bottles poured on it and left, or a mix of Washing up liquid and water to break it up. Hope that helps. I have used all of these methods in the past.

  • I would use a degreaser first then a high pressure washer.

Saturate the spill with Ultra Dawn. Wait 10 min., then scrub with a sturdy brush or shop broom. Rinse well with warm water. Reapply if needed.

If you want to park this vehicle there again, consider purchasin "Pig Mats" from NAPA or Amazon. They fully absorb car oil, placed beneath the vehicle's oil pan/filter areas.

I use Super Clean on a lot of things. It’s a blue liquid for grease/oil stains. Got it at Menards ...if you don’t have Menards ...google it. I have used it straight on my husbands white jacket grease spot . I had washed it many times and finally even dry cleaned it. Super clean took it out! I use it in my machine to clean his dirty oil coated clothes and they came out squeaky clean. Only use it in machine very little.
