Hi Barb, this is Peggy. Here is what I found on cleaning wooden blinds. Wooden Blinds – Excess moisture is wood's worst enemy, so avoid getting wooden blinds wet. To dust them, use a clean, soft cloth, a feather duster or a vacuum brush. To put more life into the wood, use acleaner made specifically for wood, such as lemon oil.Jun 10, 2013

Hi Barb!
I have wooden blinds all through my house. I simply use a swifter as well as a feather duster to clean them.
Here are some videos to show you the process! Good luck to you.

Hi Barb,
You can use a wet wipe or a small damp sponge or Venetian blind cleaning gadget that has 3/4 fingers of felt you run along the slates. Best wishes
I had a house full of plantation shutters - they were a pain to clean simply because it was a tedious task. I filled a bucket with warm water, mixed with this organic cleaner called Basic H2, and then used a rag to wipe both both sides of the shutter on each slat. Since out your water frequently.
I recommend microfiber cloths.
Microfiber cloths are good for dusting them but if they are dirty then they are going to need a good cleaning.
If they need cleaned then I would use https://www.target.com/p/pine-sol-multi-surface-cleaner-lavender-60-oz/-/A-13051847?ref=tgt_adv_XS000000&AFID=google&fndsrc=tmnv&DFA=1&CPNG=PLA_DVM%2B0060H00000n8n7iQAA-Clorox-Homecare-Monthly+Search-2019-Flight-AO&adgroup=PLA_Clorox-Homecare&LID=700000001393753pgs&network=g&device=c&location=9005835&gclid=Cj0KCQjw4qvlBRDiARIsAHme6oszsB-Ou58rreyou3AIzxsz6mBgrlqvfHe5fR9QvpwWP4xd2xG_D2IaAjgLEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds.
I would add some to a large spray bottle then add water. I don't have measurements, just eyeball it. Spray a square old towel with the cleaner and then start the process of wiping each slat with the sprayed rag. It dries quickly, so a little goes a long way. Don't make it soak n wet, just wet enough..
They look nice BUT they are HIGH maintenance to keep up the store appearance!
