How to paint kitchen cabinets?
Advance paint or general finishes milk? Hi all, i am going to help my daughter paint her kitchen cabinets. For the record, I did paint my orangey outdated cabinets with cleaning, sanding, and using Advance paint and top coat. After 2 years, there are areas of wear and a few chips. Next project, I painted my bathroom vanity with General Finishes milk paint and the appropriate general finishes sealer. That also has a tiny chip after less than 2 years. So please, let me know your experiences and expertise. There is no budget for new cabinets as a single mom to a little one with autism. Any and all suggestions will be most appreciated.

Kitchen cabinet kickboards
We have painted kitchen cabinets. Should the kickboards be the same color as the cabinets or the same color as the rooms baseboards?
I used a kit by Rustoleum, Cabinet Transformations which was easy and included most everything. Paint is paint, eventually it'll wear or chip unfortunately. You can see what I did here: https://www.flippingtheflip.com/2015/09/kitchen-cabinets-black.html
You can always try chalk paint. It's different than milk paint. Milk name when it gets warm is meant to chip. Chalk paint will not chip. Hope that is helpful. I have a link on painting kitchen cabinets with chalk paint. I used Annie sloan. Jolie would also work very well on the cabinets.

The best most durable finish is after you thoroughly prep us to prime and paint with oil based products. Can last 10 plus, years with no wear. Mine did. Use semi gloss,
Hi ! I used advance paint , no sanding or primer or sealer on my cabinets. Just used Krud Kutter de greaser and their de glosser, then 2 coats of paint ! That was it ! It's been 2 years , no chips..maybe the sealer you used made it too brittle ?
Priming might help the paint stick better. I like Zinnser BIN.
