I would use a pet enzyme cleaner like Nature's Miracle.
Hi Janet, I would sprinkle it with baking soda, lightly spray the baking soda with water and let it sit to soak up the urine smell then either vacuum with a shop vac or wash it away with water.
Yep, an enzyme cleaner from the pet store. Natures Miracle is one of the best.
pour straight vinegar on area and let it sit the longer the better then rinse well. One of the reasons folks choose synthetic turf is to avoid the chemical herbicides and pesticides often used on natural grass lawns; therefore, when it comes to urine smell removal, we recommend using natural products as well, some of which are highly effective. However, when shopping for any pet odor removal product, one of the most important considerations is finding an option that actually removes the source of the smell – rather than simply masking the odor.
One product that is both natural and effective is Urea “Z”, which is a pet odor remover for artificial grass and other landscaping surfaces. This product introduces microbes to the area. Once in place, these microbes ingest the urea that causes the unpleasant ammonia smell in pet areas, thus, removing the source of the odor.
Pour hydrogen peroxide on it. Let it soak in and dry. Works on rugs too.
A friend mixed 1 cup of oxyclean to one gallon of water per the oxyclean people and used it on her den rug with cat urine in it. Pout if on to saturate well and let dry. Took all the smell away.
