I have red popsicle stains on my carpet and can’t get it out.
Misty, Here is a solution for pet stains in carpet. The BEST way to deodorize, in my opinion, is a non-toxic cleaner called Simple Green. It deodorizes and disinfects as well as cleans. But here is one for the stains too: https://www.hometalk.com/diy/clean/carpet/easy-way-to-remove-pet-stains-14684310
Easy Way To Remove Pet Stains
Hi Misty,
Use a Steam Cleaner or Hire a Carpet Vac or use 1001 in water as directions on bottle. Then when damp sprinkle on Shake and Vac. That will soak up dampness and smell and leave a good scent when dry, then Vac it all up. Should be job done!
My hubby is a professional carpet & upholstery steam cleaner. It may be in your padding too so cleaning the surface will not get it out. Pull up carpet & remove the pad. Replace pad or better yet- day no to rugs & go hard floor. We did (after me saying no for years). I love hard floors!
Misty, this is a common problem with so many families having their fur babies live inside now. Here is one idea, but there are more if you click on "explore projects" then "clean" then "floors" and scroll down to any that name pet cleaning. Hope this helps, I found one for you. https://www.hometalk.com/diy/clean/carpet/easy-way-to-remove-pet-stains-14684310
Also, we keep Simple Green on hand as it deodorizes and disinfects anything in the home and it is not toxic. We use it for our pet accidents.

Vinegar sprayed on the areas that are odorous will help eliminate the odor. Make sure it gets deep enough to get to the pad. Once dry (the vinegar smell is gone), do a sniff test to make sure that it is all gone, Repeat as necessary. That is what I did when my son's cat decided to use the spare downstairs bedroom floor as a cat box for a couple of weeks.
