There are 3 ways to keep windows streak free: 1) wash with quick evaporating soap like Windex 2) use clean rags or paper towels (I wash with one folded set and dry with a second one and start over on every window) 3) do not wash on the side of the house where the sun is shining through. It makes the cleanser evaporate too quickly and causes streaking. OR you can use a window washer that has the cleaner in it with a scrubber on one side and rubber squeegie on the second side to take it off quickly. Again, do not do this in direct sunshine. Work on the side of the house with no direct sunlight and wait to do sunny windows when the sun moves off. Hope this helps, Sheila.
Hello Shiela, my Mom gave me a recipe a long time ago, and its all I use. It works beautifully. You'll need:
-1 cup 70% or 90% isopropyl rubbing alcohol,
-2 tablespoons ammonia,
-1/2 teaspoon Dawn dishwashing liquid.
Fill a 1-liter (1 quart) spray bottle with water. Mix and spray.
