How do I clean a stained bathtub?

I have never used Peroxide on a bath, but you could use it on Ceramic coated Cast Iron, I guess. I would never use it on Acrylic, as that would eat into the plastic and change the colour. Use only Product for cleaning UPVC Window frames, if it is really grungy, or W/Up liquid or Shampoo and warm water after every bath.

Heat up 1 cup of white vinegar, mix in about 1/4 cup of Dawn Premium. Not the dollar store kind, because it is too thin. When mixed, pour into a spray bottle and fill with water. Shake. Spray down the grout and let it sit overnight. In the morning rinse. If you have stubborn stains, spray again. Use this mixture a few times a week. It will keep your grout and tiles clean. Also works wonders in the toilet bowl to keep hard water stains at bay. Oh you only have to heat the vinegar one time when you add the Dawn.

Peroxide won't hurt the tub at all. It's just stronger and safer than bleach. Oxygen based detergents are peroxide based. Here are ways other Hometalkers do it.

Mix two parts peroxide and one part dish soap (many recommend blue Dawn, but most soaps should work fine), and use it to clean your tub.
