How can make a solution to remove gummy residue on glass?
I have a lovely glass bottle I would like to keep, but the gum from the label is really resilient. Any homemade solutions out there?
WD40 works well.
Baby oil
Olive oil!
Orange essential oil
Get some Goo Gone! I bought mine at WalMart. It's a goo and adhesive remover and it's simply
fantastic!!
oil and salt mixture. Scrub on and rinse with dish soap.
Hi Dianne, mix baking soda and some vegetable oil together and work it into the gummy label area. That will get most of it off, then simply place more veggie oil onto what's left of the residue and let it set for 10-15 minutes and rub all of it off with a paper towel. Wash the bottle well in hot soapy water, that should do it.
Any household type oil (cooking oil, mineral oil, etc). Apply some and let it sit a while. WD40 if you have it.
If you use a razor scraper always make sure you have it wet were you are scraping or you can scratch the glass.
