How do you kill the roots of lilac bushes?
How do you get rid of lilac trees? I have them cut down pretty close to the ground but I want to kill the roots.

Some liquid brush killer will take care of the roots.
I had two. I dug down around the main root. Used a hand saw and reciprocating saw to cut them out.
Why.
Brush killer or stump remover/killer.
They get too big and unruly.
