Red onions
I don't think you will get red from onion skins, at least from yellow onions. Maybe red onion skins? Red cabbage dyes things blue so that won't work. Good luck, red is a hard color to come by in natural plant dyes.

Hi Georgia - This is how we dyed our Easter eggs using an all-natural method without any chemicals or dyes. They have a farmhouse look and feel to them. Hope this helps with some inspiration! Hugs, Holly

Hi Georgina,
No Yellow Skins will give an Orange colour, You will need red. Or maybe use a little food colouring in the water?
