How do I decorate a wall in my great room?
How do I decorate a wall in my great room that is one story on oneside and goes up to 2 stories in the middle of the room. I like crosses and pictures of shacks...old cabins...I love being outside and would love to bring the outside inside. I have no talent on creating what I like.

Dee Dee, is there any way you could post a photo of the room? That would help a lot. Have you got lots of windows on the tall part?
If not, I would add something that is quite tall or long on that one wall.
It sounds like you should do a gallery wall. I would advise you to cut paper out the size of your frames and decor items. Stick them on the wall with poster putty. Rearrange until you like the way they look. Good "go to" items are shelf with vase & greenery, maybe flowers; mirror; clock; candles; wreath. Here's a link to some staircase ideas which is similar to your situation.

You can hang a quilt up high on a drapery rod with a rod pocket sewn on back for the center. Works great with a country decor. That would be a hood start.
