There are so many ways to make a coffee bar. You want to try to go vertical to leave as much counter space as possible. A hanging cup rack (that mounts to the underside of a cabinet) or a rack that stands on the countertop is a good idea. Also, mount baskets on the wall to hold k-cups, sugar packets, stir sticks... I also have an old glass milk bottle that I pull out when we have company. It looks prettier than a regular-ole gallon of milk. I just pour milk into it and stick it in an ice bucket when we have company.
