We purchased a house built in 1970. It is a bilevel. The bottom has concrete floors. The tile floor pulled up after a flood. We are looking into refinishing ideas. Please help.Thank you,Denise

  • My vote would be for a vinyl product, either planks or sheet vinyl. Easy to clean and maintain.

Thank you. My husband said the same thing. But, I wanted to put it out there to see how others made out.

Check out a product called Nature Stone. My friend put it in her basement and garage. It's wearing well and easy to maintain.

I've never heard of that product. Will definitely look into it!

If the concrete is in good shape, you can stain it or use an epoxy paint on it (the epoxy would be more durable). Both available at big box DIY stores.

It does need some work. Some pitting in the concrete. So, I think we have our work cut out for us. But, I do like the paint idea. Thank you

I would put down the special dimpled

plastic underlay made for basements (delta flr is the name I think). Then put luxury vinyl planks down. All waterproof and warmer than a floor right on the concrete.
