Can you just spray paint it?
I've seen some that have just been painted black so it blends in. Or you can check out thrift stores or home improvement stores for extra ceiling tiles (you may need to mix and match) but you can staple them to the rafters or put cheap lattice panels up with some vines/flower or staple you ceiling tiles to it.
I once finished a ceiling by stapling fabric to it. It did nothing for soundproofing or anything, but it looked pretty cool - like the inside of a tent or something. However, if you have a steel beam, you would need magnets for that part (because staples won't work, of course!).
Spray it---pipes, duct-work and anything else up there. Used to do this in showrooms for an easy but great look!
