How to make a room brighter?
I have metal ceiling and walls and wood on opposit other wall! But I seems dark in my house sometimes! Should I white wash my wood walls or would I ruin the look? I figure the white would help brighten up living and dining area?

White-washing walls would make for a brighter look!! ,,..and that beautiful wood would look terrific!
Thanks Nan that’s what I’m thinking it’s breaking the news to my husband now! Lol ... we let the fence set for two years outside to age wood just didn’t realize with limited windows how not bright it would land up being in house! Especially when interior walls used to be beautiful but overly done Spanish yellow! Thanks again
Paint the wall brighte color like white and use bright colors furntures.
Is there any way to paint the ceiling? I love your walls as-is, but it is a little dark with both the ceiling and the walls.
I would add bright lights, mirrors, light colored furniture, and twinkle lights to brighten it up. Paint the door but not the wood.
It can be tough to convince husbands to paint wood! :) What about trying some light and bright accessories? Some mirrors, lighter colored art, accessories that are light or have some metallic sparkle. Light area rugs, pillows and throws? Maybe some more lamps?
Lighter paint colors, white wash the wall paneling, mirror or framed paintings opposite the window or facing the sunny side. I do not think ceiling will do much, a few floor lamps would help. Achla
