How to evenly backlight circular stained glass window hanging?
I’m struggling for a good solution to backlight a circular stained glass window hanging. I read posts on a forum that suggested LED light strips. The result is no good. I want the light distributed evenly so that the colors pop at night, not just the edge. Ideas?

What about a hanging globe light directly behind the stained glass? You can use a battery powered light in it if you can’t hardwire it.

Wire a light directly behind the stained glass window hanging or a battery operated one. Put an opaque panel between the light source and the stained glass to diffuse the light more evenly, giving a softened effect.
If you want the window to be lit every evening, I would not recommend battery operated lights, as they eat batteries like crazy, yes, even LED lights. The need to change and recharge the batteries will be an ongoing frustration.

Try LED lights with paper in front of them to diffuse the light.
Use a small Picture light or Florescent Tube fitting.

You you made a translucent vinyl diffuser of sorts that would mean the lights behind the piece wouldn't have to be perfect in their placement. A diffuser would help distribute the light equally.
You could try a a fixture like you’d see over a painting. They come in various widths so the light can be quite focused.
You can try a hanging globe light just directly behind the stained glass. And you can use a battery powered light in it if ever you can’t hardwire it.
How about the same type of light used by used by pod casters it looks like an oval light.
I understand your desire to evenly backlight your circular stained glass window hanging. LED light strips can be a great choice, but achieving even lighting can be tricky. To ensure that the colors pop throughout the entire piece, you might want to use an LED resistor calculator. This tool will help you determine the appropriate resistors to use with your LED strips.By adjusting the resistors, you can control the brightness of individual LEDs within the strip, achieving a more uniform and balanced illumination. This should help you get the even lighting effect you're looking for to showcase your stained glass window hanging beautifully, both day and night.
