How can we get rid of chipmunks?

If chipmunks are related to squirrels,
I would either poison them with rat bate cubes (they’re large rodents) or trap/cage them and release them somewhere else.
I don’t know of any repellent that lasts very long.

Have you tried outdoor cats?

  Very true. We had a lot of chipmonks until one year we had a bunchof stray cats. Since then we have none. That was about 10 years ago and all the cats are gone too.

Why? They are so darn cute! I am visiting my friends in NC and they have lots of them.
