Tile counter around the sink has a few cracks and want to drop in a ceramic sink. Looking to fill the space between the tiles and lay down a layer of something; smooth. any ideas?

You can't. Drop in sinks have a lip that lays on top of the counter. A bead of caulk on the lip before the sink is dropped in, then a bead of caulk around the lip to fill any gaps. Tile would need to be removed before laying anything else on the counter.

Hi Donna, William is correct. You may want to remove those tiles first before dropping in your ceramic sink. Once the sink is in place you can either re-tile or add a smooth concrete countertop. This video will show you how - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ObtkY7gK0EY

Hi Donna, Mosaic tiles? Glass Pebbles? Buttons? Coins, but without a picture it is difficult ? Not sure if that's of help

  • You might look into skim coat concrete, see if that will work for your needs.
