How to turn indoor table to outside table?

I was actually thinking about trying this at one point. If it is laminate, then most likely the laminate is over an mdf wood particle board. When that soaks up water, it will destroy the table. SO my thought is if you can prevent ANY water from getting in there then possibly it might work. I haven't yet tried It but I would use something like BEHR DECK OVER which ends up being a rubbery paint(normally for decks). Paint a few coats of that stuff on it which would give a rubber coating to all areas where the particle board would be showing like under the table. Now for this to work I would think you would have to paint over even the screw holes so no water could leak in. I don't know for sure but you could definitely try it. Nothing to lose but maybe an old table?

I really don't think a laminate table will ever work outside. Laminate can not take moisture. The only thing I can think of is that you could seal every bit of it- legs, underside, top- with marine varnish, but I doubt it is really worth that much effort.

It won't for long. Laminate is unusually over particle board and will swell once it is exposed to moisture , then the laminate will buckle. Replace the laminate with treated wood, glass or marble. Any thing that can handle the elements.
