How do I remove adhesive glue from walls?
We are Redoing our bathroom and live in a 100 year old house. There were hard plastic tiles on the walls. Upon removing them we discovered they used some sort of adhesive/glue that is very hard to remove. Tried using a putty knife and that did not work. If we sand it we run into old plaster walls (with horse hair mixed in them). And it comes off very easily. What would you suggest??? Husband has a week off and we want it done before he goes back to work. Thank you in advance!

I super glued a cork board on the wall for a bulletin board; It dripped down the wall. Now the board is gone and the glue stayed there.
Monica that’s a tough one. We tried Goof off for tough sticky stuff. Not sure if it will work here but it might! Good luck with your project.
Go ahead and sand off, then skim coat your plaster. It's not in a wet area is it, like tub/shower? If so you need to remove plaster and put up concrete board then add tile.

You'll need to sand it and repair the walls. I would also try the scrapers with razor blades in them. They work well for removing stuff like this : https://www.amazon.com/ORIENTOOLS-Long-Handle-Cleaning-Painting-Stripping/dp/B075Z4B54H/ref=sr_1_9?keywords=paint+scraper&qid=1557399002&s=gateway&sr=8-9
