I think this can be sprinkled around plants that you don't want attacked by slugs.
Hello Joan! I use epsom salts every year when I plant my tomatoes in the garden. I sprinkle about 2 tablespoons in the planting hole and mix it around with my hand before I put in the plant. I also use it to water my tomatoes every other week during growing season. I have beautiful tomatoes with no cracks. You can also use it on peppers and some flowers. There are directions on the side of the epsom salt bag which will help you out. Here is some more information: https://www.bobvila.com/articles/epsom-salts-in-the-garde

I read that hostas love the salts, so I'm trying it this year. I have one area that doesn't do too well so I'm hoping it helps.
I sprinkle them in my holes that I dig for tomatoes to give them magnesium. I use about a tablespoon in each hole. It helps prevent blossom end rot.
