How do I finish a basement concrete wall before framing?
I want to frame in a basement, with three walls of exposed concrete. The home is in Salt Lake City. The concrete wall are four years old, and in all that time, not a drop of moisture has been noticed. Do i need a vapor barrier on the interior, then a gap, before framing? If so, can I use polyiso? Something like Tyvek? Just frame up against the concrete then do expanding foam insulation? Trying to DIY it as much as possible. Thanks!

Hi Michael, a gad between the concrete and the new stud walls is a great idea, it will help keep the wood safe from the concrete. I would consider used treated wood for all your floor boards as well. They sell a concrete seal paint that you might want to look into for your block. Its specific just for your situation. Good luck! :)
And follow your local building codes! Can easily be found on line.
Thank you both! michael
