Sissy your question was cut off. What room is the tension rod idea for?
You could hang it on the wall above the counter and use S hooks to hang cups etc. You might want to paint it if you do not find one the color you desire. I have chosen one for you but there are many more if you click on "explore projects" then "organize" then click on "kitchen" you will find many ideas you might like. Declutter Kitchen Countertop With A Curtain Rod
I have seen several listings for this on Hometalk. The one I am using has command hooks and a couple of the small round curtain rods with some S hooks. I placed one under the upper cabinets. i used two command hooks on the wall and laid the rod across them then put the S hooks on the rod. I now hang my pot holders, measuring spoons and measuring cups on it. The second set I put up on the inside of the cabinet door under my sink but I used larger command hooks. I put light weight items on it like my rubber kitchen gloves and such. Is small enough the door closes and it still gets some of the clutter off the floor of the cabinet.
