It is a style preference, but I personally do like bullnose stair treads.
We got a door stair form, the old one was rooting away, at one of our local home improvement stores. The had premade steps that we got, there were a number to choose from. We polyurethaned them before we installed them on the stair form. They still look brand new even though it has been four years of rain, snow, ice, and four dogs going in and out of the dog door constantly.
