  • Hi Joan,

Here is a helpful post about how to construct a privacy screen for a patio. I am unsure what your carport looks like, and you may need a build a frame for the lattice if the carport doesn't have the ability to support the lattice. So, this may help.

If you already have a carport, can you hang the lattice from inside the main frame? Lattice comes in various colors and vinyl that never has to be painted. The sheets are 4' x 8', the same as plywood sheets. Hope this answers your question.

I would attach frmeqork to the side and then attach the lattice.

Joan....Our neighbors had only one side to enclose as utility room at back and house on the other side but I believe they made frames with the lattice and let it be more a privacy section as they attached to posts ... it did not connect to anything at top or bottom both just open. Good luck
