Poison ivy has infiltrated my asparagus bed. Is there a way to kill it and not the asparagus?

Peggy, weed killer can be literally painted on individual leaves to kill specific plants. It's tedious, but it works best to use a commercially prepared weed killer. These products usually just need to be applied to a leaf of the plant and 3 days later that plant is dead.

Spray made specifically for poision ivy. Spray in full sun and repeat until gone. When you first see it come up the best way is to put on a long sleeved shirt and latex glove. Put a plastic bag over it all the way to the ground and grab the plant as close to the ground as possible pulling gently from side to side. The plant will now be in the bag and you can put it in the trash.

    3 cups white vinegar

    1/2 cup table salt

1 tablespoon liquid detergent or soap (I use Dawn) for stick-to-itiveness.

    Directions

    1. Mix vinegar and salt until the salt is completely dissolved. Stir in liquid dish soap, and pour into a spray bottle.
    2. Spray onto the green growing leaves of the plants.
    3. Wait a week, then repeat on any survivors. Best time to apply: during a dry spell.
