I would say it depends on your budget, on your ability, and whether you enjoy doing the work.
You can repaint that cabinet, Darlene. Remove the knobs and clean the wood well. Tape off the mirrors and give the wood a light sanding with 220 grit sandpaper. This will give the paint something to grip onto. You are ready to paint. Chalk paint, latex or enamel will work. Your choice.
You have to prep the cabinets for sure. And if you like the shabby chic look try chalk paint( hint- you can make your own btw - see Pinterest ideas) . To kick it up a notch replace the handles and knobs too !
Darleen: You can repaint your cabinets. It is a tedious job, but not hard. First remove all hardware. I took my doors completely off because I purchased a spray painter and sprayed the doors and drawers so that I would not have brush or roller marks. After cleaning, with a good degreaser, Purple Power from Walmart is a good cleaner or Krud Kutter. Then lightly sand just to give the paint something to latch onto. Use a good bonding, hiding primer. I like Kiltz and Zinser 123. Prime 2 times as the cabinets are dark. I went to Sherwin Williams and got an acrylic paint which requires no top coat. Since it is in the bathroom, make sure you get at least an eggshell finish or higher. On the box, use a mohair small cabinet roller for not roller marks.
For your hardware you can spray paint the metal parts black or stainless with Rustoleum or just buy some new ones Lowes and HD have great choices.Take your time and it will turn out great.
You can do it with a little help from Hometalk.

Considering the cost of all the required materials and brushes, plus your time to diy, for a one-piece integrated sink and cabinet unit of this size, it may be more cost effective to purchase a completely new one. Price out individual items and compare everything first before just jumping into the project.
