I have a front load washer. With the machine empty ( no clothes in there! ) I just pour 1 cup white vinegar followed with 1 cup water straight into where you normally put the laundry detergent. I run it thru the quickest setting using the HOT water cycle. When it's finished, leave the door open to allow it to dry out. Good Luck.
