There's a large selection now of decorative switch covers available in home improvement stores. Here's some you may want to check out:

They are so inexpensive- get new ones. Take a count of sizes and type and go get them. Use a simple screw driver to remove and replace.
Donate the old ones so some else can match them at their place. Updating them to be the same makes a place look great!
Or, you could remove them and cover them yourself with a pattern that you prefer.
You could decoupage them with the same materials.
There's a bunch of ways to remedy this. First one, remove the plate & replace all them with the same pattern. 2. Contact paper to match. 3. Paint to match. 4. Decoupage them. 5. Sharpie marker them all the same. There's a LOT to the imagination!!
