Hi Marie, yep for sure! In fact that's the perfect base for ceramic tile!
Hi Marie, true concrete is a good base but mostly there is a screed over the concrete so that it is a little easier to lay the tiles properly. Depending on the extent one could use self leveling screed which does not require screed poles and such to get a smooth surface. The other benefit is that you do not have to finish the whole area in one go.
