You can give them flea medication from the vet as young as 8 weeks. I think mine used Advantage
You can use thieves oil, dilute with water to make a hydrosol, or with witch hazel.
You did not say whether this kitten was kept indoors or outdoors. If the latter, bring him inside. If he is getting fleas from inside your home, then you need to get them out of your home before any treatment will work for the kitten.
As described in the video Debker posted, a flea comb is the best option for young kittens. Do not put any chemicals, oils or topicals on your pet unless recommended by a veterinarian. And you'll need to clean and treat the kitten's surroundings several times because flea eggs are extremely resistant and will continue to hatch until you rid the bedding of them.
