I'd call a pond store to find out what would be safe for fish.
I use a pond clearing chemical but it doesn't remove everything. Our pond gets so much sun I don't know if there is any way to prevent alge growth. I hoped to get an alge eating fish of some kind and find a way to cast shade over parts of it.
