How can I add an unattached awning to my house ?
I live in a community that does not allow you to attach an awning to the house. I need to shade my small sunroom window and would like ideas how this could be done without adding holes or anything permanent to house

Hi Kaye, you could perhaps use electrical conduit, PVC pipe, or something similar to build a small upright frame to then place an awning upon. Rather than attaching to house make the uprights tall enough to be pounded into the ground deep enough to stay upright. All of it could be painted to blend in or contrast with the house; whichever you chose.
Instead of an awning, what about window film?
