Glue or screw a plate to the top to make a platter/tray to serve food. Use various heights to make "risers" that display a tabletop of dishes attractively.
Elaine: maybe these ideas will help
https://www.networx.com/article/diy-upcycled-candle-holders
Hi, Elaine!
Candle stands could be used as "display pillars" for small statues or vases. Solar lights can also be secured to them for the outdoors. Hope this helps!
(1) Glue a small plate or bowl on top and use as a soap dish in your guest bath. (2) Glue a flower pot on top and plant a cascading green plant in it. Looks great on a mantle. (3) If you have a matching set you could use them as shelf risers by gluing boards to the top and bottom. Makes a really cute cookbook stand for your kitchen counter with the candle holders as bookends, a counter top spice rack, or a soap and lotion stand for your kitchen or bath. (4) Cover a pad of fine steel wool with fabric and draw the fabric up into a ball. Glue it to the top of the candle holder and use it as a pin cushion in your sewing room. (5) Glue small drinking glasses to the top of the holder and use to hold cotton balls, QTips, etc. in the bath. Or use it as a safe place to put your watch and rings when you are taking a bath.
Are you talking about a candle stick? They can be used to make all kinds of pedestal dishes like this one that I made a while back https://www.homeroad.net/2016/04/how-to-create-pedestal-dish-from-thrift.html
If you mean candle holders, I upcycle them into pedestals. https://www.homeroad.net/2016/10/diy-pedestal-thrift-store-pumpkin.html#more
