We have a bathroom that we are going to put black tile in
You could use clamps to stretch it. If it is still new, return it and get another one.
Bobbie: Glad this is a rug and not carpeting! Bob Vila agrees! https://www.bobvila.com/articles/carpet-in-bathroom/
I just got a new rug for in front of my vanity-sink area, as my floor is cold in bare feet. It took a week or so for the carpeting to lay down completely from the shipping process. So, just be patient. (I also put an non-slip pad under it.) https://www.walmart.com/ip/Mainstays-Non-Skid-Rug-Pad/41474548
Bobbie, is it an area rug or a full room carpet. The process would be different.
Heat from a hair dryer might help the process along.
