Add a thin wood rail you can band.
A narrow thin piece of wood wrapped around the top. Apply wax, petroleum jelly, lotion, vegetable oil to the wood so the resin doesn't stick to it. Several layers of duct tape around the top.
Burnish painter’s tape.
A strip of wood veneer around the top edge.
just use a couple rows of rope wrapped around the bad edge and glue it on , it will give it more depth
If you want the resin to form the edge, just wrap the top with a good masking tape before you pour. The tape will stick to the table edge and the resin will not stick to it. Once it's cured, pull the tape and there you are.
If you try any of the above methods using tape, when you remove the tape, there is no guarantee that it might not take some of the paint with it.
Thanks I will let you know how it turns out
