Is there a simple way to move the door latch on the frame of a door?
We put in new doors but our house is old, so the new door latches do not match up to the "hole" in the door frame. Is there a simple way to cover the old hole and make a new one? We have 7 doors to do.... :(

There is a simple way. I have replaced many doors and I fill in the existing hole with wood putty, sanding in between applications. My advice on this is to be patient. Fill in with thin coats...don’t try to fill it in 1 or 2 applications. When you do the final sanding and paint over it you won’t be able to tell it was ever there.
Thank you. Then how do you cut the new holes? just with a chisel?
For a quick fill, you can use bondo to fill the existing hole. This is very common for large wood patches: https://amzn.to/2JdAm7x
