Dish detergent acts as a natural pest repellent. Put 1 tbsp. of liquid dish soap in an empty spray bottle and fill it up with water. Give it a shake and use it to spray your rose bushes. You'll need to do this every other week to keep the pests away.

Depending on what bugs you wish to eliminate, there's another bug that eats your nuisance bugs. I was looking at meal worms and saw an ad for thousands of Lady Bugs.

Irene....I had japanese beetles and my husband used Spectracide from Lowe's on mine and thank goodness they are gone. Good luck!
I love Spectracide, I use it on all my plants. If the problem is not bad, I spray with Dawn Platinum and water.
