How can I make over a fireplace surround?
I’d like to transform the area surrounding my fireplace. Some of th area is uneven and I have to consider the TV that hangs above. I don’t want a traditional mantle, I would be happy with no mantle and a stacked stone. I would consider faux rock or maybe tile. All ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure you plan for wiring of tv and components while you have access. Before you tile.
