Which rain gutters are best for a roof valley area?
I have a steep valley on my metal roof that is over my entry door and I need to divert the water & snow. What rain gutters or diverters would be best for the problem area?

Hello Suzanne,
Go to the Rainwater section of your DIY, where you will find a selection of PVC Guttering and fixing clips. You will also find the down pipes and fixing clips. These can drain into either a Barrel/water butt or a pipe leading to a soakaway! or if on main drainage - to the drain.
A good aluminum 5 inch gutter should work for you. Put a slant of about 1/2 inch from one end to the other and then attach a downspout for the run off. Be sure to run it away from the house.
the snow/ice can be very dangerous when it slides off your metal roof & will just destroy the gutters you install unless you also install snow stops here's some good info. on correctly installing them https://www.metalconstructionnews.com/articles/choose-the-correct-snow-guard-system-for-your-project
Since you seem to have issues with water/snow over the doorway, in addition to adding gutters I would put a canopy over the doorway under the gutter..... https://www.wish.com/product/5b45d402df01d77471f355c2?hide_login_modal=true&from_ad=goog_shopping&_display_country_code=US&_force_currency_code=USD&pid=googleadwords_int&c=%7BcampaignId%7D&ad_cid=5b45d402df01d77471f355c2&ad_cc=US&ad_curr=USD&ad_price=51.00&campaign_id=1784856144&gclid=CjwKCAjw36DpBRAYEiwAmVVDMBY1KDcng2fyI-excObEV9NTQ-O5Hz_VIZ2qujsi_FJ0LgBQq-Sn2BoCzR0QAvD_BwE
