There are new animal and human friendly organic bug and tick sprays. I purchased at my local hardware store. I still use mask and goggles, but I spray around the door to the house, the wreath, around any windows (make sure they are closed), and the railings, furniture and steps leading and some of the ground around. This also works good at the door from the garage to the house, plus the underside of the gutters at both porch and garage. I noticed I have less moths and spiders too. I also have a dyna trap 24 ft from the front porch. (I have really bad bugs.) And an electric "freedom" bug attack contraption in the back yard. I'd stay away from bug lawn foggers as they are toxic and can hurt animals no matter what is stated on the pack.
